We stayed for four nights in their superior rooms – which were worth paying the extra for as they had a bit more room and had balconies (we had to do this to book a twin) . We booked two rooms as we were taking our two teenage children and asked for rooms next to each other – this also happened and we were next door

We arrived of the early eurostar and the hotel looked after our bags until later in the day. The same happed on our day of departure so our time in Paris was maximised.

The location of the hotel is amazing, you can cut across the road in front of the hotel and go straight down to the arc de triomphe – which is great for shopping and finding restaurants in the evening.. There arealso little bakeries dotted around the hotel for the odd pastry and cheese baguettes you may need. The Seine, Eiffel Tower is within walking distance and we hardly used the Metro – only to go to the Sacre Coeur .

The front desk staff were fantastic, helping us to find what we wanted and giving advice of how to get here & there – they were welcoming and good natured and had great banter with my 15 & 19 year olds who seemed to like their complimentary sweets on reception!

I think other reviewers are being very mean over the breakfast – admittedly the staffs English is not the best – but we are in France aren’t we? There was plenty of tea, coffee, juices, cereals, croissants and pastries, jams, yogurts etc. Plus there was bacon & sausages keeping warm if you wanted them – it was completely adequate and plenty to get you started for the day.

We had two superior rooms for four nights and pre booked with the maximum discount and paid 1064 Euros including breakfast – I think it was amazing value for a great location.
I would certainly recommend this hotel, very safe area and if ever in Paris again I would certainly book without trawling to find anything else – as there is no need.
Room Tip: Choose the larger deluxe ones

We recently stayed at the Hotel Marceau while our ship overnighted in Le Havre and it was just what we were looking for and provided for a wonderful stay. Both the girl who checked us in (I hate that I cannot remember her name) to Armand who let us in when we returned in the evening were so warm and personable. We appreciated the hotel's quiet but great location after walking around Paris all day. After checking in around noon, we were able to walk to the Champs Elysees in minutes and from there grab the Metro to anywhere in Paris. Our room was small but that was to be expected from the photos and other reviews. But even though small, it was very charming, soothing and had the boutique hotel feel to it. The bathroom I thought was cleverly designed and I guess what you would call "tiny chic". For under $200 per night, I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone wanting to stay a few nights in Paris.

This small boutique hotel is a few minutes walk from champs élysées and the Eiffel towel. A metro ride from the louvre and the rest of Paris.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are a squeeze, very small- but parisian and quaint.

The location is good in terms of being very close to champs élysées and the Eiffel tower- but is actually a little quiet and dead compared to the other side of Paris.

The breakfast is a bargain for 12 euro. Much cheaper than outside!

Its a nice hotel, and worth a stay, and quite good value for money. If you want more liveliness and options for breakfast/dinner walking distance away, its best to stay elsewhere as there's not much around there.

Small charming hotel in a convenient location. Loved the art deco rooms and general feel of the hotel. Rooms were a little on the small side but loved the balcony that wrapped around the the rooms (we stayed on the fifth floor). Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay.

We arrived at the hotel early on a Monday after a long flight from Miami... They had our room ready! While yes the room is small by American standards, it was a great room.. Great shower, comfortable bed, great view from our windows in room 45..
The breakfast was decent, good coffee, fresh juice, fresh pastries and baguettes, yogurt... there's enough to choose from if you're not into runny scrambled eggs.. :)
The staff at the desk were excellent! Great English, great directions and suggestions.... A little out of the way, but the Metro is a piece of cake to get you to anywhere you want to go in the city..
We'd definetly consider staying here again on out next visit to Paris...

Just came home from Paris, where we stayed in this hotel. The room was nice, bed was comfortable and the shower just great - especially if you know French showers... The concierge (special thanks to Adonis) is super friendly and helpful and even upgraded us to a better room on arrival. The situation is perfect to explore Paris individually with the Metro (line 1) just a short walk away. Only one thing to complain about: The warm breakfast buffet doesn't deserve this name (only one little plate with eggs, bacon and sausages). The staff for the breakfast service is not only lame and incompetent (they handed us cutlery touching the hygiene zone) but even unfriendly (the only thing they care about is your room number). So save the 12 (!!!) Euros for the breakfast if it's not included in your reservation and simply go to Bar Marceau (very friendly and funny staff) across or to one of the close Brasseries - Patisseries. All in all our stay was very nice, Paris was great, the Parisians absolutely didn't live up to their reputation of being rude and unfriendly (on the contrary) and we'd stay again at Hotel Marceau.

Our room was very small but we knew that is what to expect in Paris regardless of price paid. The inconvenience of tripping over luggage on the floor for 3 nights was far outweighed by the great location, simple (but all we required) breakfast and helpful, english speaking front desk staff. We had a problem with the plug in the bath when we arrived but it was attended to and fixed within 15 minutes of reporting it. There was a mildew odour in the bathroom which I suspect came from the black vinyl tiles on the floor under the bathroom basin. They would be very difficult to clean or even see mildew on but perhaps some extra attention needs to be given to them. All in all a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here in June and found it quite comfortable. The room at 225 sq. ft. was not large but that is Paris. The price was also not large given the services they provide. Front desk is most attentive and English speaking. The rooms are modern, with Wi-Fi free, and a simple breakfast available if you choose. Le Marceau bistro is across the street, and a wine store, bakery, and small grocery are within a block. Location is ideal with 5 minutes to Champs and 15 minutes to Eiffel Tower. The front desk was able to obtain taxis quite easily. The A/C is quite good and as someone said the windows are very soundproof despite the busy Avenue Marceau out front. We had a small balcony on our 5th floor room. Not large enough to sit on, however. Quite a good find and would recommend it.

A brilliant modern little hotel a 5 min walk from the Champs Élysées, just across the river to the Eiffel tower. We stayed in a comfort room over looking Avenue Marceau, the sound proof windows were great, we could not hear any of the traffic or noise from rooms next door. The breakfast was simple croissant, bread, jams, cereal, fruit and then either bacon, sausage, scrambled egg or ham. It was enough to fill us. The hotel staff were brilliant and offered help when ever we needed it. Free wifi connection in the rooms with good connection. Our room had a modern shower and bath which all looked brand new. I would not hesitate staying in this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.
